The estate

Il Brolo Azienda Agricola extends for about 8 hectares: 4 of olive grove, the remaining land is cultivated with vineyards.


The farmhouse dates back to the thirteenth century and was beautifully restored in 1993; it is still protected by its original boundary walls.

The name "Brolo" is derived from the Celtic "Brògilos", which means land, fenced forest and "Brolium" Latin for park or garden.

Only farms with orchards and vineyards belonging to monasteries or to a church took the name of "Brolo", a plot of farmland and houses surrounded by a defensive wall.

Even today our Brolo is a natural refuge for several species of animals such as rabbits and squirrels that find in this vast estate the ideal place to live protected.
